Maureen Denise McCormick, youngest daughter and sole child from Richard McCormick as well as Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills on 5 August 1956. Her father worked as a teacher as well as her mother a stay-at-home mom. Michael, Dennis, Kevin and her sister are older. McCormick began singing and performing in her early years. McCormick would also perform for neighborhood kids. When she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest, when she was only 6 years old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to ask if McCormick wanted to go into show business. McCormick's first job as a professional was in 1964, when she appeared in an advertisement for Mattel's newly released doll "Baby Pattaburp". That same year, she appeared in a second commercial for Mattel's doll "Chatty Caty" She was soon cast in the La Jolla Playhouse as the role of the oldest daughter on the new TV sitcom, The Brady Bunch. McCormick performed the role of the smallest of three two-headed daughters in the year 1969's TV show The Brady Bunch. Florence Henderson was the main character, Robert Reed the father and Robert Reed playing the newlyweds. It ran for five years. McCormick revealed, in the book, published in 2008 titled"Here's My Story": The Journey of Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice, the fact that Barry Williams was her screen brother. In 2008, she revealed in her book"Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice that in the fifth season of the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. The moment was not the best moment for them.
