Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez , on September 2, 1966, is an American and Mexican actress and producer. In Mexico, she began her career with the role as Teresa in the telenovela (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she was nominated for an Ariel Award. Her career quickly took off in Hollywood by appearing in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's role as Frida Kahlo painting artist in Frida (2002) which was a biographical film she wrote and produced and won her the Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[66. Also, she was awarded her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. The following years, Hayek focused more on producing while starring in action-oriented movies like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
